Restaraunt Placemat and Menu for student film Reckoning

I designed the place-mats and menus for a restaurant scene in the student film Reckoning.

The menu is a concertina or acordian fold and the place-mats are die cut with rounded corners in order to capture the homey and country design.

The hand drawn images are first sketched out then painted over using watercolor. The pictures are my own photographs of staged country items.

The background is burlap fabric over a lightened blue layer.
